How Puff Prices works
Puff Prices is a Canadian price-comparison and licensed-store directory for vapes and cannabis. We are not a retailer: we read prices that stores publish themselves, put them side by side, and send you to the store to buy. Nobody pays to be listed or to rank.
Vape prices last checked August 14, 2026. Cannabis catalogue last updated August 14, 2026. Times are Eastern.
How a price gets here
- 1. Collected. Each night we read the retailer’s own published listing — the same page a shopper would see. We do not use hidden feeds, and we do not work around a site that asks not to be read.
- 2. Matched. The same product sold under slightly different names at different stores is matched into one entry, so the comparison is like for like rather than a list of near-duplicates.
- 3. Published. A vape product appears once at least two stores carry it — with one store there is nothing to compare. Cannabis products come from a single provincial board, so there the comparison is between pack sizes, priced per gram.
- 4. Kept honest. A product whose stores drop out keeps its page and its last known price for a while rather than vanishing, and says so. A page that flickers between working and missing is worse than one that admits its price is older.
What we do not do
- We do not sell anything, take payment, or hold a cart.
- We do not accept payment for placement, ranking or inclusion.
- We do not list unlicensed cannabis sellers. The store directory is built from provincial regulator registries only.
- We do not guarantee a price. The retailer’s own page is always the authority.
Common questions
- Where do the prices come from?
- Every price is read from a retailer's own published listing. Vape prices come from 246 Canadian online stores' public product pages. Cannabis prices come from the provincial boards that publish them — the Ontario Cannabis Store and BC Cannabis Stores. The licensed-store directory comes from provincial regulator registries. Nothing is estimated, and no retailer pays to appear or to rank.
- How often are prices re-checked?
- The catalogue is rebuilt from the most recent successful collection, so a price shown here is the one published at the last check, most recently August 14, 2026. Individual listings show their own check time, because a store that could not be reached keeps its previous price rather than disappearing. If a date here looks old, it is old — the site shows when it last saw a price rather than implying it saw one today.
- Can I buy anything on Puff Prices?
- No. Puff Prices is a comparison and directory service, not a store. There is no cart, no checkout and no account. When you choose a listing you are sent to the retailer's own site, and everything after that — price at checkout, payment, shipping, returns and age verification — is between you and them.
- Why does a price here not match the price at the store?
- A price is a snapshot from the last check, and stores change prices, run promotions and sell out between checks. The retailer's own page is always the authority. If a price here is wrong, tell us and it will be corrected on the next run.
- Why is there no cannabis price list for my province?
- Because that province's system does not publish one in a form that can be read. Ontario and British Columbia sell through a provincial board with a public storefront. Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Newfoundland and Labrador sell through private retailers who each set their own prices, so those provinces have a licensed-store directory here and no price list. An empty page would be worse than an honest absence.
